Microsoft released on
Friday an update to the Skype application (Android and iOS), which once again
shows the company's concern not to fall behind in relation to other
communication applications. Remembering
and a recently launched appeal by snapchat, Skype can now include filters on
images during video calls, something that users should definitely have seen
before.
In total, Microsoft
offers up to 11 filters that are floating in the image recorded by the camera
sensor users, such as drawings of balloons, teddy bears, distorted forms and
others. The update initially
arrives for Android and iOS users, however, it is the biggest update for owners
of Apple devices, which have extra features in this update.
In the new iPhones 6s
and 6s Plus, from now on, Skype becomes compatible with the 3D Touch
technology, which measures the user's touch of pressure on the screen to make a
few extra tricks in the system. At
this point, perhaps, the update is really significant because it adds quick
contact information, open chat windows as shortcuts and initiates calls without
having to open the application completely before that.
Updating the Skype
application can be made directly from the devices. However, users can choose to download
them again in the App Store and Google Play.
