Apple
continues breaking records with the number of iPhones sold each quarter, but
CEO Tim Cook is not worried about a possible drop those numbers. Because? Android.
During
the release of the company's financial statement this Tuesday, 10/27, the
executive said that 30% of new buyers of iPhones in the quarter ended in
September came from Android devices, which is a new record for the company. And it is worth noting that only two
days of sales of the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have been included in the
company's figures in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2014, so this percentage can
increase up to the end of the year.
"What
this means is that among consumers who bought an iPhone last quarter and
replaced a smartphone, 30% came from an Android phone. Also registered users who have come
from other systems, but Android is the biggest by far. This number is the highest we have
recorded since we started measuring it three years ago. We are very proud of that number,
"said the successor to Steve Jobs.
Eye Apple
There
are over 1 billion Android users worldwide, according to recently unveiled
Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
And
Apple is clearly behind those users with larger smartphones and new features
like 3D Touch and better cameras.
